difference:

by the
word of God.

1 Peter 1:5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith
unto
salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
1 Peter 1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more
precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire,
might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of
Jesus Christ:
1 Peter 1:21 Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up
from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope
might be in
God.
2 Peter 1:1 Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus
Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us
through
the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:
2 Peter 1:5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith
virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
Revelation 2:13 I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even
where Satan's seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not
denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my
faithful
martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.
Revelation 2:19 I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith,
and thy patience, and thy works; and
the last to be more than
the first.
Revelation 13:10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into
captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the
sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
Revelation 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are
they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
Can there be any doubts that it
is by faith that we are justified, not by our good works alone. All the
above clearly show that faith had a very important part to play in
being a child of God.
