The Oasis Trust (UKOrganization)
About:- Oasis demonstrates that Christian faith works by delivering practical solutions to the breadth of people's needs wherever they are encountered.
Oasis Outreach volunteers make contact with people who are homeless in London.  Teams go out twice a week to befriend people on the streets and to offer advice and information on services that are available to them.
 Did you know?........
40% of rough sleepers have been assaulted.
Homeless people are often assaulted or have their personal belongings stolen when they are at their most vulnerable such as sleeping.  Sadly, most of the time they are not assaulted by other homeless people but by other members of the general public.
Interested in volunteering?   You will need to be:
over 18 years old
living in or near London
a committed Christian
able to commit an evening a week on a regular basis

A Christian Homeless Rehabilitation Shelter (USA Washington City)
About:- The Mission was founded in 1941 by Burt McCausland, a local ministor and businessman, to serve those who remained homeless due to the Depression.
The Mission began in a simple store front, but moved to its current location in 1963. Today our primary service delivery area is Washington, Greene, Fayette, and Southwestern Allegheny counties.
In the beginning, homeless men were the primary recipients of services. However, in 1986, the Mission opened the Avis Arbor Women's Shelter to meet the needs of the fastest growing homeless population -- women and children.
Through the years, the Mission has expanded its programs to better server an ever-expanding number of people. However, what has never changed is the commitment to share the love and Word of Jesus Christ to all who pass through our doors.

Volunteers:- Volunteers are a very important part of our ministry at Washington City Mission.  We could not have helped poor and homeless for 59 years if it were not for the help of volunteers. No matter how you wish to volunteer, there is a place for you at Washington City Mission!
If you would like more information please call our Volunteer Coordinator, Autumn Neely at 724-222-8530 and request an application.

Lakewood Christian Service Center (USA)
About:- Lakewood Christian Service Center is a collaborative organization of individuals, Lakewood churches, businesses and civic organizations. The organization was begun in 1982 as twelve Lakewood churches combined their resources to provide a Hunger Center for local residents. Soon after its founding the volunteers made a commitment to address the deeper questions of why clients were coming in need of food. Throughout its history the Center has been dedicated to addressing the needs of Lakewood citizens who are jobless, hungry, and/or in crisis. The Center provides job-search assistance; emergency food; advocacy with housing, utilities and public assistance; and information and referral services.
