Daily
information from weather station at Allesley Coventry
NOTE: The
following information is not live and is updated by me during the hours
of 10am and 5pm on most days.
All information is
taken
from a wireless weather station. On the 12th of
Dec
the weather station was re-worked again. This now means the wind source
is a few inches higher. The rain gauge has been moved
a few inches lower as well. So the Wind source
and rain gauge are about 11 to 13 feet off the
ground.
However
the overall sensor is now only 6 feet or so off the ground so
it is mostly out of direct sunlight and in shade therefore no longer
affecting the
humidity and temperature and
pressure as much.
Snow will obviously
affect the rain
gauge and so won't always be 100%
accurate, any heavy lying snow won't be recorded at all either.
This
station will be checked against other local weather stations and
sources to ensure it is as close to accurate as it can be. The wind
will often read less than say the Tile Hill stations gusts, because my
station is in a dip and not as high up. Due to position, wind from
northern directions may be lower than actually is else where.
NOTE: All previous information may not be 100% accurate before 13th Dec
2009. Pressure may be adjusted to other stations. Rest is no doubt
factory set.
Rain does not seem to register until about 0.3mm, this can mean before
midnight if 0.1mm falls and I then reset at 11:59pm, I'm not sure if
this then is counting past midnight. So for instance, another 0.2mm
falls, total now looks like 0.0mm day before and 0.3mm few minutes
after midnight, so please have this in mind.
So expect totals to be out sometimes by as much as 0.2mm.
Outdoor readings only
and
updated between 10am and 5pm through out most days There is a memory for
max and min, so I may also include this info, so therefore covering a
24 hour period, especially where winds and rain
are
concerned. Only wind gusts over 10 mph will be
recorded.
The
following may not have the most recent readings, normally it's updated
most days between 10am and 5pm, and finalized just before midnight.
