When Mike Murdock had an appeal this year for 200 or 300 people (I forget the actual number) to call in with a certain donation because “the Spirit told him” to solicit that many with that specific amount; I called the 800 number to ask that if I gave, which number would I be, because I didn’t want to go beyond what the Lord had said. And, after all, they should not either.

The woman was caught off guard by my request. She told me that she did not have that information on her computer, but to hold on and she would find out. I was put on hold for about 5 minutes, then disconnected. LOL.

I had also called the Inspiration Network (David Cerullo) last year when they had a telethon. Steve (God is Fixin’ Munsey was their pitch man. He said the Spirit said the same thing “So many people were to give so much.” I called them to and asked the same question. I also asked that if the 301st person calls to contribute do they refuse to take their donation. The little old lady who answered the phone, who sounded so sweet and sincere said “You know, that is a great point. If the Lord said so many, then they should not take any more than that.”

So, I stay on the lookout for these specific appeals, that is, whenever I have the stomach to watch any of them.

As for the mark of the beast being literal or symbolic:

The beast of verse 17 is the beast who came up out of the earth (as we read earlier in this chapter). The earth, as I will explain in more detail later, is a picture of those, believers or church members, who are not dwellers in heaven. They walk according to the flesh rather than the spirit. The earth is distinct from the sea, and also distinct from the heavens. The sea is the multitude of unbelievers and heathen (see Rev 17:15).The heavens are those who are truly seated with Christ in heavenly places. We can say that the earth represents the carnal church.

The carnal church is full of buying and selling. It is described later in the book of Revelation as a prostitute. The ual act is an act of deep and intimate communion between man and wife. It also pictures the communion we should have with God. A prostitute is someone who takes this act, and uses it in a totally wrong way - outside marriage - to make money. In different ways throughout history, the church has done exactly the same thing. It has taken the things of God, and sold them for money. In previous times, priests offered forgiveness of sin in return for money. The church became unbelievably rich through the services it offered and the taxes it demanded. In modern times, evangelists will offer their healing gifts for money. "Mail me your love offering for God's work, and I will pray for God to heal you." In some developing countries 'pastors' become much richer than they would ever have been if they had stayed in a normal job. Well-meaning churches from the west pour in money to "spread the gospel" and support the "work of God". Direct and less direct lies are told to keep the money flowing.

Interesting, but of late, last couple of years or more I started to think this way, okay one can re-wonder in light of these headlings:

But I had started to believe it was more symbolic because the buying and selling was of the soul, and probably concerns the money, the system, the world, what you belong to, if you crave the things of the world, money, wealth, material things, the chances are you don't crave God, right, whether it's the satanic, though I watch it Deal or No Deal with Noel Edmonds or lottery or some other way to get money easy and worship it. Jesus said you can not serve two masters. Okay am I saying all Christians wanting that healing and money to get them out of a crisis and going to these people like Don Stewart and whoever else is going to hell, no, no, and they don't belong to satan.
Their motive would be entirely different. We see the Deal or No Deal situation, I like it, because though I'm bad at maths, I love numbers, probably why one time I used to like Cricket, working it all out on my caculator, the run rate and so on left, can we do it, win, so on. It has made me wonder for some time if Deal or No Deal has a producer that is into those things  of the world. Though satan does reward slightly, he also because he hates anything God made, wants to mess things up. Serious, you can laugh, but normally, I'd say 9 out of 10 cases, I watched Deal or No Deal and they bring on something, and start cursing the game as I say because of that, it goes pear shape and they go away with very little.
In fact what annoys me about Deal or No Deal is that it is just random, but time again we see, silly things to keep people interested, lets all hold hands, lean to the left, to this and do that.
The world like in Sodom's time and no sympathy, not saying it is acceptable, but one can understand it, because it becomes the norm, no one thinks these days porn is bad, but Christians awake to the Bible, knowing the real cost of it and the damage it causes. Ask an woman involved in it that then came to Christ, she'll tell you the truth about the industry I'm sure.
People that belong to the world as I often say, those that have not yet repented and accept God's free gift, Jesus Christ, will do the things of the world, today that often means money, sex and violence. All seen on satan's main stream TV channels, BBC1 BBC2 and BBC3 and BBC4 and ITV channels and Channel  4 and Channel 5. It is a bit like evolution, say it often enough and people think it is real, never mind the word theory, they ignore that, doubtful most kids know what it means anyway, and they are brainwashed in schools on the subject.

So the mark is more likely, though I'd still not take anything literal, as could play a part in it, is about belonging to the world. We are warned in the Bible in the last days, end times, end of this age, before Yeshua (Jesus) returns to be on the lookout for false teachers and preachers.
One would think, because no doubt real miracles happen, that people like Don Stewart would wake up and say, Yikes, if God is real is it really worth me doing this, enjoying 0.0.05% of my life here in richness and then millions of years, or whatever it is in hell and then the lake of fire and then no more, ni such pain that will make Iraq seem like the most popular holiday paradise in the world to be.
Food for thought right. No, if we are fooled by these people, and we were genuine about what we wanted in our hearts, fair enough, but for those that wanted a car, or some get rich option, oh that woman, got £130,000 on Don's show, she said so, I want that, yeah I'm gonna ring now and after all it's free, then they are in serious trouble. Bit like the woman on the net, who have profiles, say they are Christians, but clearly their fruit says otherwise, as on their profile is a naked picture of them. Like those that think they are going to heaven because they are a good person.
However when we study and research and look into it, we see, arghhhh, we have been in a simming pot, put a frog in boiling water jumps out, but nice and warm gradually and bang.
Society has and will continue to get worse and worse, it amazes me and even traps me, I think oh well no one else seems to care at work, and follow the sheep, but sometimes I stop and think, this is not right, or wow look at that and this. I'm woken up, just because the majority go along with it, one night stands, smoking dope, drinking lots, so on, does not mean, oh well it must be alright then. Kids no doubt grew up in Sodom seeing this and so think it is the norm, we've taken God and the truth out of school, evolution lie taken over and look at the mess we are in. Actually there is your proof, further we go away from God the worse the country becomes, exactly the same as the Old Testament times and the people of Israel, nothing changes, God and satan the same yesterday, today and forever, and so are we and Bible history repeats itself.
The Pharisee's chose themselves, get rid of Jesus because he rocks the boat and we want our peaceful we are in control existence. Today is the same, satan's lies convincing people you don't wanna follow God and be a robot, and we don't, but it is a lie the Bible a manual for life, not a rule book, fact He gives us free will, unlike satan who attacks, as my powerful testimony proves. However we fo it our way, taking the long road, with more pain and misery on it and eventually only leads us back to God's again anyway, that is what makes me laugh the most. However like I keep saying and stressing, the literal one's may play some part in it, I mean, anyway, who the heck wants something in or on them that can track, trace your every move and what you buy and spend and do, and so on, I have nothing to hide, but my freedom is precious to me, what little of it I have left today, amen.
